Christmas 2017 Family Time!

Like many, Christmas is my most favorite time of the year! Each year I find myself trying to add some special elements of the day to make it more memorable and special for my kids.  Drawing their attention to what the day is truly about...the birth of our Savior, Jesus! This year I planned a special breakfast for my family, parents, sister and sister's family. I think setting the table was my most favorite thing to do.  I love decorating...if only decorating and photography could combine themselves as a way to put food on the table, I would be golden! ;)

This year I set a spot at the table for Jesus, himself, inviting His presence to fill our house and as a reminder to the kids that He is our guest of honor every single day of our lives. I don't know where I would be without Him in my life.

Baby Ridge

Newborn shoots can be challenging and they require a lot of patience but they are one of my most favorite types of sessions.  There's something so special about a new little life.  Such a blessing from God and a complete miracle.  This afternoon I got to meet baby Ridge and introduce him to his very first real photo shoot! It took some time for him to be sleepy and he really didn't like being undressed but by the end he was a real pro (or just very tired!) Here are some of my favorites from today...

Soyring Family Session

Sunset is officially my favorite time to take photos and it surely didn't disappoint with this family photo shoot! This was Heather, Therman and Caleb's first "official" family photo shoot and they rocked it! Such a sweet, sweet family!

Decker Family Session

Last Sunday I had the pleasure of photographing my cousin's sweet family! Mi Jin and I have been friends since she moved here from Korea...we go way back! lol.  Her boys are the sweetest and so full of energy! There wasn't a dull moment during this session.  We had lots of fun! As you can see...

Weston is ONE!

It's so exciting to me when I get to watch my client's children grow.  I did Weston's newborn photos just a short year ago! Boys are so fun! Weston didn't really care too much about the cake but boy did he love the clean-up part!  Splashing in the water was the happiest part of his session! We snuck in a few family photos as well! Love this family!
